4/5/09 - TEKKOSHOCON POST REPORT
Well, the first screening went well, and a good weekend was had by all. Despite the disorganization, and there being no description or advertisement whatsoever for the movie, we were lucky enough to have a crowd of about 20 or so people, all of which seemed to enjoy the movie. If you're out there, thanks for coming guys!
We may or may not be at Kawaiicon next weekend (and by "we" I mean "the movie" because there is NO way I could afford Hawaii). So if you're gonna be at the con, look out for us!

See you there!!!

3/25/09 - Alfred Leebop tour of the Americas
Okay, I've decided that we are close enough with most of these places to make a general public statement.
Alfred Leebop can be expected to play at at least ten conventions so far this year. Not all of these cons are confirmed, but we are in communication and expect a positive turnout from the following conventions:
Kawaiicon (April 10-12)
Anime Central (May 8-10)
Anime North (May 22-24)
Anime Boston (May 22-24)
Anime NEXT (June 12-14)
Anime EXPO (July 2-5)
Otakon (July 17-19)
Connecticon (July 31-August 2)
New York Anime Festival (September 25-27)
Anime USA (November 20-22)
You can also expect us to be making appearances at several of these cons for PANELS! We are definitely going to be at ANIME CENTRAL, and are hoping to host panels at Anime North, Anime NEXT, Anime EXPO, Otakon, and Anime USA. We'll let you know if any of these are confirmed.
This is an exciting time! So start planning your convention trips! SEE YOU SPACE COWBOYS!

2/19/09 - TRAILER!
Well folks, thanks to the hard work of our post department, The Adventures of Captain Baxley has a trailer out already!

2/10/09 - Sweet Relief
Principal photography for The Adventures of Captain Baxley wrapped Sunday night after a strenuous and awesome 17 hour day. It was a lot of hard work over two weekends, and it took a lot of dedication from everybody on the crew, but I couldn't be happier with how it went. We have a movie.
Special thanks here for anyone that helped us out in any way, we couldn't have done it without you!
So now that another movie has wrapped production, there is waiting, and there is hope for the future. With any luck, we should have a finished product in about seven weeks. Start your countdown.
And in even brighter news, I think it's time we let out a bit of exciting news about Alfred Leebop. Several major anime conventions have accepted screener copies of Alfred Leebop and are expected to show the movie. Because of confirmation and scheduling issues, we won't state any specific conventions (in case the movie doesn't end up screening) but as soon as we have them locked down, we will post a schedule of where and when Leebop will be screened. There are exciting times, because I can finally say "COMING SOON TO A CONVENTION NEAR YOU" with actual sincerity.
On that note, I'm off. There are ideas to be created, scripts to be written, and movies to be made. See you space cowboys!

1/28/09 - FUN TIMES
Well folks, we're gearing up for our next big production. And goodness is it huge. The Adventures of Captain Baxley is undoubtedly the most ambitious project we have to date, not in terms of length or cost, but in terms of sheer cinematography and performance skills. And we start shooting this weekend.
This film is the story of a little girl, Allyse, who has a very active imagination and a very negligent mother. On this particular day, she gets separated from her mother chasing a rogue shopping cart and comes face to face with the eccentric and terrifying Captain Baxley, a captain and homeless person who decides to help young Allyse in the quest to find her mother.
Starring M. Tamin Yurcaba and Jamara Griffin, this film is a portrait of youth, and a brilliant narrative about letting your imagination run free. Look forward to it!
And on the ALFRED LEEBOP front, we're still waiting on some important news on the publicity front, but I am proud to announce that WE HAVE COPIES FOR EVERYONE!
Specifically, if you are in charge of, or are a member of an anime club anywhere in the country, we are prepared to send out copies to anyone who wants to show the movie! Just get in touch with us via the email address in the contact section! IT'S A FREE MOVIE!
In any event, we're off to a hellish two weeks! So stay frosted and keep watching the skies!

1/6/09 - Explosion of YOUTH
Happy New Year! We hope that you are starting off the year right with a healthy serving of movies, geekiness, and love for your fellow man.
Speaking of loving your fellow man, we'd like to give an extra special thanks to X-Strike Studios for supporting us! They are a production company with a similar goal, the greatest goal a filmmaker can have. To make video game movies right. So please check them out! And tell Ben that he is the man.
Other than that, we have some exciting news coming up, but we can't quite share it with you yet. So stay frosty, and hopefully we'll have some excellent updates in the future.

12/23/08 - Success
The screenings were both an enormous success. We'd like to thank each and every one of you who came to the showings (especially those who somehow managed to make both!). It means a lot! Your support is what will fuel us into the future!
So what are we doing now? Trying to get the word out. Alfred Leebop is starting to make the rounds to anime conventions, where it will hopefully be shown around the country to the proper audiences. Feel free to email your local convention's program director to urge them to show the film! And if you happen to be one of said program directors, show the film! You won't regret it. I promise.
Other than that, we're currently working on another project which should be hitting the web sometime in January. This one's being headed up by Anthony Trigilio, actor extraordinaire, and we are very excited to be shooting for him.
Keep the eyes and ears open!

10/22/08 - HOME STRETCH
As of the 21st of October, Alfred Leebop has officially wrapped production. In celebration of this fact, we would like to share some more production stills with you. We hope you find them delicious and enjoyable.
With post production ahead, the film is coming together nicely. There may even be another trailer coming out before the film's release in early December. That's right, folks. 10/5/08 - Still Alive
Well folks, we've been plenty busy here, but alas and alack, we don't have too much hard evidence to show you right now. What we can tell you is that Leebop is looking great in post thus far, and should turn out just as amazing as we had imagined. We hope it will live up to your expectations.
In the meantime, we'll try to have some sort of goofy internet short up for you soon. It's been too long. Stay tuned, space cowboys!

8/14/08 - Post-Ota Report
Well, Otakon was pretty much the best thing ever. There was a lot of fun to be had at the convention this year, and I hope anyone that was there had a good time! The AMV contest was pretty bangin' this year, there were some good screenings, some amazing cosplays, and a lot of delicious toys in the dealer's room. And, if you happened to catch the Friday Night Fan Films, then you probably saw the opening to Alfred Leebop! Needless to say, I was pleased to see it up on the big screen. It got a pretty good reception, but there weren't quite as many people there as I was expecting. So I guess that means we'll need to launch a full on viral campaign to get the word out. Watch out, internet. Here we come.

8/5/08 - Otakon
Well, as of Thursday we'll be heading off to Otakon. There will hopefully be a full con report next week. See you there!

7/28/08 - GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLIES
Well my friends, I do not exaggerate when I say that things went phantasmally. Hell week is done, and primary shooting for Alfred Leebop is COMPLETE. We have a few more things to shoot, but to be completely honest...
Editing is under way right now.
Don't tell anyone I said this, but you might be able to catch a new trailer sometime in the not-too-distant future. One that involves actual footage, and not just the opening. So if you're into that sort of thing, keep your eyes open.
But enough about us. Time to take a moment for what's going on in Hollywood. Here's the skinny:
Go see The Dark Knight.
I think all I have to say to justify that is that Heath Ledger is not on the screen. It is the Joker.
Anyway, Otakon is coming up soon. You'll see us there. So if you don't hear from us until then, then keep an eye out. Good luck finding us.

7/14/08 - Into the thick of it
This week QF dives into the biggest shoot in its history. On the greatest and largest production yet. With the largest cast and crew. Are we ready?
Yeah, I think so. I really think this is going to be a fantastic film, and I really hope you guys like it too. We're pulling out all the stops this time, but what's really important to me is doing Cowboy Bebop justice. This isn't a direct adaptation, but I want it to feel like Bebop. I'd want to show a scene from this to somebody who doesn't know what it is and have them say "That reminds me of Cowboy Bebop in some weird way"
Anyway, I'll try to update during the week or at the end of the week to let you know how it all goes down.

7/4/08 - Here We Go
Happy Independence Day! Go out, have a steak, squeeze off a round, light up some fireworks, and say something undeniably American. In America.
Primary shooting begins tomorrow. So to celebrate, we've put up a few more Production Stills. They should hold you for a little bit longer until we have some more smashing news for you. So until then, See you Space Viewers...

6/25/08 - High Gear.
As of the 19th, shooting for Alfred Leebop has officially begun. Everyone is very excited to get the show on the road, and primary shooting is expected to be completed within the next five weeks. With any luck, the production will be done by the end of August, so keep your fingers crossed for us.
On a related note-- we believe Otakon will be screening the trailer. So if you are around, make sure you watch it!
In other news, Alter Ego Experience is up on the google, so check that out if you get a chance. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. You can see it HERE or on the WORKS page.
Anyway, I'll try to keep you updated with things about the production. So stay tuned!

6/4/08 - Exciting times.
Alter Ego Experience (as it is now officially called) is in post, getting the sound made up all pretty. That should be out by early next week. I'll get it up on the google for you guys.
Alfred Leebop is gathering steam. The opening is out on youtube, you can see it here. I am rather pleased with it, and it's already been shipped off to Otakon. The best part is that it's only a fragment; it is only the first minute and forty seconds of the movie. Excitement is mounting for all of us for the rest of the production, which starts shooting next week.
Also, we thought we'd put these out there for you guys. A little something to tide you over until we have other trailers and whatnot. Production stills.
I'll probably add more to that account as time goes on, so keep the eyes peeled.

5/28/08 - Alter Ego Encounter is almost wrapping production, then we get to delve into an overclocked post-production mode to finish it up by the end of the term. Thus far it looks epic, look forward to this one folks.
And speaking of production, Alfred Leebop: Shooting Star (our Cowboy Bebop fan parody) is finally going into real full gear here. We are officially planning on releasing a "trailer" at Otakon this year (God willing) and will follow up with the finished product next year. Primary shooting starts in the next few weeks and will continue throughout July; we'll hopefully wrap in August. Details on the story and characters are still being kept tightly under wraps, but the "trailer" is sure to raise some speculations. At any rate, it is no exaggeration to say that this will be the biggest, most grand, and most expensive production Quigley Films has ever undertaken on its own. These are exciting times, and we hope you're looking forward to it as much as we are.

5/8/08 - Looks like the new website is going to be pretty groovy. Obviously we are still working on getting our own domain, which will happen in good time. But you could probably care less, right? Onto the juicy stuff. We have two productions in the works right now. Alter Ego Encounter (working title) is slated to come out early June, and of course Alfred Leebop: Shooting Star should be completed this summer. However, release dates still have to be negotiated. We've been plenty busy the past few weeks, and as you may have noticed we punched out a few random bits here and there. Our recent collaboration with Zapruder Films turned out... interesting. It was late. We were tired. Anyway, look forward to seeing more joint projects with Zapruder Films of a similar nature. Don't expect them to make too much sense. However, expect great things from their Director of Photography, who has basically been assimilated onto the QF team. Welcome aboard, Ben. Also important: our collaboration with Digitech Productions over the winter is finally reaching completion, you can see it here.
I'm going to go ahead and say that I am looking forward to the new Indiana Jones movie more than reaching the legal drinking age.
Anyway, there is work to be done. I'll update again as soon as it's necessary.
